Alexium Military Update
Dear Shareholders,As 2015 draws to a close, I wanted to pass on a quick update on our efforts in the military arena. Firstly, our efforts at securing a major Army Combat Uniform placement through a major prime contractor to the U.S. Army is proceeding forward quickly. The Alexium staff is scheduled to conduct their next full-scale production trial on full Army Combat Uniforms in early January with follow-up Pyroman testing later in the month.In unrelated but parallel efforts, after a significant bureaucratic backlog, the Army Research Office has officially finalized the paperwork around Alexium’s assignment as a military subcontractor to complete design and testing of the first-ever 50/50 nylon-cotton fabric, which passes all the testing requirements of the expensive and fragile flame-retardant Army Combat Uniform. Work on this effort has already commenced and we will keep you updated as we continue to make progress.This news, in addition to our efforts with Murdock Webbing, significant progress on 100% nylon programs for suppliers to the Department of Defense and multiple clients worldwide, strengthens our outlook for top-line revenue forecasts recently published for calendar-year 2016 in the military market.
