Wow. That was fascinating. Thanks for sharing that, definitely worth signing up for the free trial haha.
Gavin must be a very wealthy man. He is also very confident, although I felt embarrased for him when he admitted the brokering mistake made selling shares to the an institution at a lower quantity than they were able to hold by their own rules. Sounds like a very basic and rookie mistake by the broker. At least he was completely honest and up front about it. Interesting that he said they (insto) were following him into the investment and he said Alexium will probably go back to them again once they have a bigger share to offer. Watching that gave me a new appreciation for management with their skin in the game, he really is and will be riding this journey along with us one way or the other and has very similar motivations to us for his investment. It makes it plainly obvious how true the statement is that management's "interests aligned with shareholders" when they have that much skin in the game. I'm interested to know what his net worth is, and how much this holding of AJX makes up of that. Crazy stuff.
I wasn't previously aware of his track record starting up another company in Aus and taking it to NYSE. Something to read up on tomorrow. I found myself wishing the interveiwer was a bit more prepaired but at the same time a fresh persective also worked, he asked all the right questions regarding the patents, and was helpful to hear Gavin's explanation of his Vs. Nick's role.
His confidence regarding supplying the DoD with FRACU and revenue numbers was a bit surprising I thought, must all be very well researched/planned.. as was his confidence in a re-rating after NYSE listing.
One negative I took out of that was that bedding, furnature, decorative fabrics etc. don't need to be washed and there are other bio-friendly FR alternatives without the durability of Alexiflam that customers may prefer. The same custemors trialling our chemicals may be trialling 3 or 4 and weighing up their options and so some of our leads and POs may well not eventuate with contracts. But that's not to say many of them won't. The real advantage as we all know is the 50/50 nylon-cotton and polyester blends and FR requiring strength and durability, which is still a massive $B market. Hmm.. will let that stew for a little while and probs watch it again tomorrow! Haha
It's crazy researching other stocks and then comparing to the potential of AJX over the next couple years.. the numbers and growth just don't compare. This business seams to have stumbled onto a massive opportunity and has attracted the perfect people to take advantage of it. The dam wall is falling and bromine manufacturers revenues are about to start pouring into our backyards...
I've always been told if something seems too good to be true it probably is, but I've also seen stock prices can move up and down rapidly and people can multiply their investments many times if they put it in the right stocks, and I think this is the right one
    Only time will tell
