It would be interesting to know how many long term holders bought in during the algae hype and would finally see it as time to sell if the name changed to We R Weed. Many people during the algae years said stuff like 'I bought in with high hopes, it now doesn't look good, but I'll hold on until they give up because I want to see algae fuel succeed in this world and replace crude'.

AEB wasn't always a fish food company... well, it's difficult to say exactly what it is. It started as an energy company... health food company, fish food company, marijuana company... they can't just change their name every time their previous venture fails and they make promises about something new. Or, well, I suppose they could, but it would be highlighting the obvious, don't you think? If hypothetically they actually made a big profitable marijuana business, then yes, it would make sense to change the name. If I had to guess, I'd say that if AEB still exists in 2-3 years it will be back to touting algae, with the marijuana play being either abandoned or sort of pushed to the back corner, like the oil and neutriceuticals currently are. Crude oil is actually making a comeback in price and if that trend continues they may actually start talking about the energy again.

As Jesse says, there are many pure play MM companies out there. AEB is now not even mentioned in the list of algae companies, so what makes anyone think that a train wreck like AEB will be noteworthy in the marijuana scene in a couple of years?
