Algo Games on RCE – Classic Tape Painting?

Something fishy going on in the RCE course of sales this morning.

Between 10:27 am and 10:29 am, there were hundreds of trades executed at exactly $0.300 — all for 1 share. These weren’t moving the price or doing anything meaningful volume-wise, but they sure clogged up the time and sales window.This has all the hallmarks of algorithmic tape painting or spoofing — an attempt to create the illusion of demand and keep the price looking stable while larger blocks were quietly preparing to move. Sure enough, later in the day we saw large volume dumps — tens of thousands of shares — printing at $0.290, confirming the real direction.So while it might've looked like support was sitting at $0.300, that support turned out to be smoke and mirrors. Bots flooding the feed with micro-lots while the real transactions happened a few cents lower.

I’ve long suspected this suppression pattern was introduced after the institutional cap raise in Sept 2020 ($27.95M at $1.30 per share). Since then, we've seen this kind of algo behaviour repeatedly pop up during periods of accumulation or sell-down.

Is this classic price suppression before a run-up or someone exiting a position quietly?Either way — watch the volume, not the noise. The algo games are thick in this one.
