algorithmic trading at the close

Anyone see the really hard working BOT (algorithmic trading) taking place at the close?

There was no way that BOT was going to let NTU close at 16 cents.

It worked away in parcels of $52 to $355 (approximately).

It began harvesting at almost 3:54:59pm (EST).

It dropped the price from 16 cents to 14.5 in the last 3 minutes of trading.

This was not profit taking at the close (although there may have been some of that with the other trades around what the BOT was doing at the time) IMHO.

I have been researching and watching algorithmic trading software for some time, have even written the code for one. And sometimes it is hard to reason out the motives for why they are released on a stock at a particular time. A lot of supposition really. Still, it is interesting to see them work.

One of the problematic issues however is that when a BOT finds a stock it very rarely lets it go for some time. The programming code is viral in nature, often like the people who release them.

Anyway, now we have seen it on NTU, expect it more often IMO.
