@beefarmer; thanks for the intentional slur and for NOT having the common decency of tagging me properly, enabling me to call it out! The choice between Murdoch Mouthpieces Peter Dutton worshipped and Australia's beloved ABC is an easy one for most Australians.
I've made many comments on this forum about the damage caused to the ABC ever since September 2013 in particular, starting with the termination of Barry Cassidy as a voluntary and unpaid 'protector' of Old Parliament House - an honorary position he'd done exceptionally well! Apparently payback for 'Insiders' which Andrew Bolt betrayed for a love-in with Murdoch's stable.
It's my assessment that Coalition changes to senior management of the ABC and severe knee-capping of its budget has adversely impacted its 'news services' and program diversity in particular. I've often lamented my dismay at what's degenerated into a morning couch gossip session in place of what used to be comprehensive, fearless and detailed news coverage.
Yet despite all of that numerous 'inquiries' into the ABC have NEVER produced allegations / evidence of bias, prejudice etc - au contraire!
