it's hardly a 200 year old problem. Prior to 1970, the territory and Alice in particular was a peaceful orderly place.
I am not lying in this assertion, I was there.
Alcohol was made more freely available by the do-gooders of the time and the influence of the Missions were dismantled. It was all downhill from there.
