Given GXY have Receivers on the inside they will have known this was coming and IMO will have already planned a way to deal with it if they really wanted A40 ... there are issues with FIRB, granting of extensions etc etc

.... and let’s not forget the proposal is non binding at this late stage .... I personally can’t see why Korda Mentha would lift a finger to arrange anything until the proposal becomes binding ... but that is just my opinion !

Has all the makings of a Bellamys Mark II if you ask me ... lol
