ALK did say that the results would be released progressively, but surely the first results have to be released without delay. There are posts on HotCopper saying that the word on the streets is that the results are good, or that they have heard that the results are 'better than Cadia'. If these posts are true, surely ALK knows at least some of the results by now. Further delay just gives those in the know more time to accumulate or liquidate based on their knowledge.

Are companies listed on the ASX actually required to release drill results as soon as they know them or is there no specific requirement to do so? I'm genuinely curious. For example, last year I had read that RIO was sitting on some big drilling results in the Patterson Province and wondered if there was a specific requirement which would under normal circumstances compel the company to release the results to the market. Or is this just how the market is ideally supposed to operate?
