It was as Sub1 said the time ALK hit $2.50 was during the the rare earth bubble following on from the initial resources for McPhillamys. Tomingley was still going through the approval process and was not online.
Do not understand the current price but there are lot of small sales today so someone is keeping the price down for whatever reason. ALK has bullion on hand as of the last quarterly of 12.7 million and hedges in place that are well in the money.
IG did indicate a long time ago (2019 AGM) that he was prepared to sell if the price was right, but except in emergency I doubt the current price is adequate.
At this stage ALK does not need a JV partner for Boda, they have sufficient cashflow to pay for building Tomingley and drilling both Boda and Tomingley.
The price would need to be a lot higher to reflect the intrinsic value of what they produce and are finding.
