You might want to look up the difference between a continuation pattern and a reversal pattern.
An inverse head and shoulders is a reversal pattern usually found at the bottom of a downtrend.
A head and shoulders pattern is a reversal pattern usually found at the top of an uptrend.
Neither of the above patterns are typically considered continuation patterns.
