Forgot to mention: as part of S&P's new policy in June 2011, rebalancing of the ASX300 index is no longer disclosed to the market. So while the market will be informed if a company is added to or removed from the ASX200 index, only S&P subscribers are informed if a company is added to or removed from the ASX300 index. Supposedly, some of the companies themselves didn't even know they had been moved into/out of the ASX300 index as part of the September rebalance.
Anyway, good news for ALK!
