Sorry for the levity...not meaning to be condescending, but your comparison is a bit like the above Austin Powers skit...big difference between millionaires and billionaires.
Virtually every single stock on the ASX has millionaires on their register...or on their boards...very few however outside the S&P ASX top 20 have billionaires as shareholders...and even less of these have billionaires on their boards...and less again outside the 20 all the way out to the S&P ASX top 300.
Literally unheard of to see billionaires as shareholders in to micro-caps...and yet even fewer again do we see billionaires bothering to actually hold board positions in micro-caps.
In fact...I can't think of another?
Would love to see some other examples thrown up...in the interests of balance.
After reading my initial post I realise the comment "chicken little attitude" may have appeared as a dig at you...or may have offended you...it was not intended and I apologise if this is how it appeared.
I was referring to the wider population...ie, the masses who collectively lack any kind of foresight beyond what they are force fed via “New Idea”, “60 Minutes”, etc...but in my clumsy way I realise now I may have made it look like a direction at you.
Happy for you to hold your views, and for me to hold mine...and you are right, people need to look on any major price rally with a degree of scepticism that it will continue...and be prepared to apply an attitude of self-protection...in fact I say as much (different words) in every post I make (in my signature).
If as you suggest the current change of interest in QFX is nothing but hot air...and that any thoughts of grand schemes or bigger pictures possibly behind this are little more than uneducated hype...then if one avoids taking a position as you seem to be recommending, I agree one can sleep peacefully knowing they will not get caught on the wrong side of a bad trade.
That's is a very good way to approach the market.
I respectfully suggest however that there are other approaches...
Cheers!
