What are the chances that Alki would also take a shareholding position in the company. Otherwise it makes (little) sense for him to be on the company board and not benefit as much as he could? after all this is not a charity. As far the $5M loan goes, companies receive funding all the time and in return the lenders get their fixed % returns - unless we are talking payment in equity here?
I will not be surprised if the next announcement is a substantial holder notice or a 3B.
