My understanding is ‘yes’ they can install packers around a production string that will isolate the alameda production zone. These packers can withstand 10000 PSI differential pressure so my take is it’s all par for the course in these modern amazing wells. The tech is awesome and so precise.
This is kind of implicit anyway since they have already announced this intention to remedy Marti, and considering the effort and expense to date they will definitely want to appraise this reservoir too as it was one of the two major objectives. Even if it means halting production from alameda for a few weeks.
I’m sure they have plans for work over A2 to produce the requisite maximum for trucking from pad too. MAY not going to be bound for 5000bopd production options following this campaign, to the contrary all sorts of triggers going to be pulled to get the pipeline sorted.
Today is hopefully one of the biggest days in MAYs history.
