Profits are determined in two ramps. The first is the Christmas volume which starts in September and then the Easter volume which starts in late Feb (at a much lower peak). The Christmas volume stops dead on Christmas day.
Basically that means if the volume in the first ramp is successful and meets budget, you can just about guarantee the next 9 months will be good. There are obviously some exceptions however. You can also just about guarantee the two biggies will be fighting it out again.
