Who was the person that told you "hit a dollar in a year"? Take it up with that individual. If there is any written evidence that a Gateway personnel promised "a dollar" share price you have a legal case for damages.
If you were promised "a dollar" and you have no idea how they would get there then look at the mirror and that is where the blame is.
Gateway back in 2014 to early 2015 drilled their exploration targets. It was a high risk target that would have yielded huge rewards if it came off. They did not find anything. It was a miss.This is the difference between "a dollar guaranteed" and "POSSIBILITY of being a dollar stock if the exploration targets turned out to be true.
Cash balance went from $AU5m to under $AU1m and Gateway became a shell company around mid 2015. If Gateway had another $AU20m in the bank I am pretty sure they would have continued their exploration program...and possibly the result would have been different. If Gateway had a time machine and knew their exploration program turned up nothing I am sure they would have gone into acquisition mode immediately. If I had a time machine I would have invested everything including my credit cards in FMG back in 2003 when it was at 2cents and sold out in June 200 for $105.
Lets put you in the managerial seat AdamBlackie, what would you have done? Refuse money and let Gateway trade insolvent? Why don't you lay out a path forward for the company.
As for "Puppet Master Vaz", whats the difference between his money and other people's money? I know Vaz is a large shareholder in Gateway and its likely he throws his weight around, if you were in his shoes would you not behave the same way? I know Vaz looks after Vaz first just like I will look after my interest first.
