Build 3 (2nd non-residential): childcare centre
Location: Amberton Beach, near Eglinton, northern Perth
Builders: Dale Alcock, using HX2
Materials: concrete blocks. Lintels (up to 4.8m long) made by FBR. Termimesh on slab; waterproof damp course flashing on first course and over lintels (coastal environment).
Weather: some very heavy rain and strong winds
Completed: 5 June, 2021. 16 build days
Details: >60m long slab, big build (size of about 5 houses), walls up to 4.8m high. 8,670 concrete masonry units (36,500 SBE), dble leaf cavity wall. Water not connected to site. Some minor mechanical issues.
Special: 25 windows, many small ones; HX had to build from 5 different positions; FBR made the lintels

Build 2: community centre (first commercial structure)
Location: Byford, WA; 40km south of Perth; cnr Balawarra and Kardan Blvd
Builders: Archistruct, using HX2 and WaaS
Weather: sunny, cloudy, hail, high winds, heavy rain
Completed: Tues 1 Sept - Tues 8 Sept (HX returned to HQ for weekend)
Details: 390mm x 230mm high x 90mm thick blocks; dble leaf cavity wall, step-down course below the slab; av lay speed 174 blocks/hr (800 SBEs/hr); top speed 228 blocks/hr; 15 courses high (~1.5 storeys); brick ties manually installed. Rendered finish. Tenanted by real estate co and a cafe.
Special: 1st non-residential structure, new adhesive application system

Location: 31 Elderberry Drive, Dayton 6055, WA; site bordered by 7 occupied homes
Builders: Archistruct Builders and Designers; using HX2
Weather: fine
Completed: 8 July - 11 July, 2020 (3 and a half days; HX deployed 7 July, started building 8th); Open home 24 April 2021 postponed to 1 May following lockdown.
Details: 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom residential home; 11 courses. 2991 blocks (390 x 230mm x 90mm; 13,759 SBE), single leaf wall. Average lay speed when running 146 blocks/hr (671 SBEs/hr); peak 228 blocks/hr (1,049 SBEs/hr)
Special: First real build; roof trusses and prefab kitchen ordered from 3D TAD; Mike interviewed by Channel 9 News
Income: ? House sold for $532,000
