Hi cat,
Update on the dog saga. A fiasco. I phoned the council and RSPCA again today. Was told by both that no dog answering the description had been reported and decided to hand him over to the RSPCA with the view to adopting him if the owner wasn't found, when he would be desexed, microchipped etc at their reduced costs. Sounded like the right thing to do. They collected him mid afternoon.
By the strangest coincidence, I then went shopping in a local supermarket (not my usual one) and what caught my eye on the noticeboard but a lost dog notice - no doubt that it was him. So we've found the owner, but too late in the day for them to be reunited. The crazy thing is that he had reported the dog lost to the RSPCA first thing Sunday morning and yet they weren't able to match up my report. Pretty annoying.
He was a well-behaved little boy the 2nd night with us, but I'm happy he'll be reunited with his owner. The forum is pretty quiet lately, so a good time to send my email [email protected] for future off topic correspondence.
I noticed the thread about depression was removed. I thought your advice was well placed.
