Our issue should not be free university education per se; it should be
about free university education to meet our present and future needs
so that we can minimise our reliance on importing highly educated/
skilled migrants and minimising our export of highly educated/skilled
workers.
It seems ridiculous to spend hundreds of thousands on teenagers who
choose an area of study on a whim with scant regard as to whether there
is or may be a local professional need post graduation.
