Immunotherapy is alive and still going strong.
Merck has not given up on stimuvax inspite of having to terminate their phase 3 trial on testing with non small cell lung cancer. What they found out was that some sub groups in the trial did better than others. Armed with data from the failure, Merck has continued to trial stimuvax on other types of cancer. Likewise, Prima is going to test cvac on other types of cancer. I hope that tough to treat, pancreatic cancer is first off the block.
