Sakura Ferroalloys declares force majeure on manganese alloy shipments
Malaysia-based manganese alloys producer Sakura Ferroalloys declared force majeure on Wednesday April 7 on some shipments of manganese alloy because of a transformer breakdown at its Sarawak plant in the country, a source close to the matter told Fastmarkets.
The transformer failure took place in one of its two furnaces at the plant while the other one is operating normally, yet it is still unclear to what extent the operations in the first furnace have been affected and how long it would.....
