What we know so far
Reminder that all those 12 evacuated plus your cave diver's etc. are being treated in hospital with some of those young boy's in a serious condition etc. They will have pschological/emotional/physical scars that will take many months to heal/overcome etc. This will live with them for a long, long time.
- All 12 boys and their coach have now been safely evacuated from the cave
- The day-3 rescue mission began just after 1pm AEST and was completed before 10pm, much faster than expected.
- The rescued boys will remain in hospital for a week for testing and health checks. At least two have lung infections.
- Aussie doctor Richard Harris is once again playing a crucial role in the rescue operation, as he has done on day one and day two.
Harris has swum all the way through the cave – 3.2km – to the trapped Thai soccer players, three days in a row.
This has been a "traumatic type" experience for all involved (including about 100 professional diver's plus many hundreds of volunteers as well who assisted) as can only imagine what they've been through....... extremely daunting/terrifying experience imo
Kudos to all involved with their strategic planning/efficient rescue mission as truly an unbelievable effort/courage to accomplish this under very dangerous and trying conditions.
Truly awesome and a great example of human love/spirit coming together to help those in need in doing whatever it takes
P.S. Won't be surprised if they make a movie out of this..
