This would be easier to accept if there was some sort of geological explanation such as say LP2 was drilled but did not encounter oil because of some sort of fault etc. However, going down this way, reeks at best in total incompetence if not something more sinister.
Didn't these people who were getting paid six figure salaries do basic monthly cash flow forecasting?
