    If they have the opportunity to make a profit and tighten the register they should. Passing an opportunity to do so is a very bad financial decision at company level and, for all shareholders. IMO whether they profit from it or not has no ethical effect to managements credibility.

    It's no doubt in the best interests of shareholders and the company itself that the stock is kept in safe hands and, the professors who committed their own time and money free of charge for decades require every opportunity possible for their retention and further commitment to the company (though I HIGHLY doubt they would leave on the basis of what has happened anyway)

    I guess put another way would anyone classify all private investors who also choose to capitalise on the situation unethical aswell?
