Hi folks,

..... # 1 on your list spawk ..... they are paranoid
about giving away their "secrets" ..... nothing has
changed much ..... they are 50 years behind in the
space race too.

Having worked in the Chinese oilfields, it baffles me
why this project is considered special, in any way ...

As JBC posted, these fields are probably small by
way of comparison, with others found by US oilers
or even China's own rig fleet ..... so, it is not the
size that counts here.

Quality of any oil found could be an issue, if it
significantly reduced China's reliance of imports
of that grade of oil.

An associated gas supply, that is conveniently
located to a major industrial zone, may also account
for their keen attitude to make progress in this field.

..... any other suggestions???

P.S. ..... some oilers may go flat-to-down from
today, until about 23102003 and even
until 30102003, for others ... as Neptune
moves onto its station degree, before
going direct next week ... then, we will
see reversals in some oilers and a
continuation of the uptrend in others.
