    Hey Grant,

    Great post,

One of my concern as well, however, this is about efficiency of process itself that you are tackling, for SGH to be able to cut a bunch of employment contracts and benefits, it first will need to derive an efficient structure that can spend less, however as per a rule of thumb, every business will have to spend more each year in order to sustain their competitive advantage against their competitors, if the business were to be in the mature stage in a nation and the only way for it to survive is to acquire more business to provide growth then it will have a lack of efficient structure, SGH has been acquire business continuously since 2007 - this may suggests a lack of embedded and coherent structure throughout the business as they do not seem to have time to restructure any of the business, they have acquired. All businesses purchases were left alone to operate with the same system that they were before the purchase. This will ultimate drive OPEX up at some point, and this factor materialize itself multiple time across 10 years once in 2009, another in 2012 and again in 2015. This is inevitable, and it will take time for process to be in place.

    Robert
