Lets be clear, the ban is on naked short selling and about bloody time. Short selling fine with me (i do it) but naked shorting is fraud as far as I'm concerned

Australia's corporate regulator has announced a further crackdown on the stock market practice of short-selling.
The Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) announced on Friday it would ban 'naked' short-selling and restrict covered short sales.
But ASIC says it will now ban covered short-selling temporarily from tomorrow.
Short-selling is the trading of borrowed shares in such a way that the investor makes money when they lose value.
