Soccer in OZ might be OK, if the parents stopped passing on their centuries old ethnic hatreds to their children.
IMHO the inability to score goals builds up tension amongst the fans. When you see a higlight of a socer match on TV it is ALWAYS when a goal is scored. My recomendations:
(a) The rules should be changed to make it easier (but not too much) to score a goal, widen the goal perhaps?
(b) Any person convicted of violence or enciting racial hatred should be banned for life from attending a national soccer match.
(c) Allow SOME body contact to ensure a better flow on game which is being constantly interrupted by the slightest contact with another player.
