I have been doing further research on HCT.
I feel the issue is on 2 things;
1. Traders have started to exit and have controlled SP. The higher base that is held in this trading window the better and most likely a transition to longer term holders so tangible news should certainly have traders coming back in but at a higher price.
2. Management
2a. Management are not naturally true north facing i.e Intravert personality, not commercial wizards or business builders, poor presentations, not 'deal-makers', lack long-range strategic vision and story telling ability to shareholders.
They may be great people with good values (which is a big tick) and excellent at what they do behind the scenes (operations, R&D, development - another big tick); however, public listed companies are a play... With a very large audience. You have retail $1K buyers with limited research to retail $20K-$1M+ longer term astute retail holders, then of course your front row or box seat strategic partners, institutions and broker networks to support growth.
The last few months suggests management have had the curtains drawn or aren't reading from a well versed script.
When they have made announcements of late they have been retracted or are not well written. They are static announcements and have no forward lens.
As a retail holder I do not expect inner workings of the company but I do expect to see where they are heading, why, and how and what the opportunity is.
What is good news for HCT is they can, through a strong distribution network for all of their products, employ those partners who can work at the coal face and build strong omni-channels. I am excited for the next update and selfishly looking for a lower SP so I can top up.
