Option 1: allow the options to lapse
Result: Own 11M shares, have 1.2 million+ in the bank
Options 2: sell 11M shares at 13c, pay 1.2 million dollares to exercise 6M shares
Result: Own 6M shares, 1.2 million poorer
Allowing the options to lapse is clearly the better option.
