As a geo in training my suspicion is that the reservoir has thrown up a few surprises and left the tech team with little option but to delay releasing their 2C until the system is properly understood. These numbers would (as I understand it) also have to be agreed upon by everyone in the JV before release and the big boys currently have an incentive to limit the amount of publicly available information (potential farm-ins in the region).
I'm not sure why people are getting so hung up on the 2c, these calculations can often be pretty 'average' anyway. Ultimately we are drilling, which is exactly what an exploration company should be doing and heck FAR have reached an appraisal stage. Show me another ASX listed oil exploration company with similar prospects!
Why 5 years? on this project at least a fair few hands will have been played by that stage?
