That would be nice and does get rid of a problem. However I would have thought that the sale proceeds would for the main part be returned to the private investors, leaving little for the company cash or prospect wise (unless the investors were willing to roll over into a new collaboration/project with the company, which would be a brave call given management's spectacular record).
