All time high for this expensive stock

Hi folks

New record High.

All through this hotcopper thread, a common theme of "this stock is too expensive" appears.

I first bought in at 5.48, I made a mistake selling some at 8.09 to take some profit, then again topped up at 9.13.

I still don't own as many shares as I had with my initial purchase. Still doing very well, but I have my regrets.

In my portfolio there are half a dozen stocks that I don't trade (sell). ALU is one of them. I sometimes buy some of these stocks to top up when they are oversold, but no selling.

Good growth companies are hard to find, holding on to them through periods of weakness is sometimes harder. Fighting greed is harder still.

My son went to the US in 2011 to work with Microsoft (MSFT) at the time the SP was $25 and this stock was regarded at the time as expensive. The current SP is $166 and in the last 12 months paid $1.89 in dividends.

I've learnt my lesson, when you find a great growth company, just stick with it. Ignore the bleating calls of being too expensive.
