The announcement was the one agreed to with Applera. There is a cash component as well as licence and supply agreements (presumably to all or most of Applera's current and possibly future products). They are currently working out what else they can say without breaching their agreement.

Applera did decide not to press on with court action and instead took a licence and paid for it. Court action against other companies is still a possibility but unlikely. They do have funds available if needed.

Focus now is on companies identified that need a licence.
