Connect is a set of programmable APIs and tools that lets you facilitate payments on your software platform, build a marketplace, and pay out sellers or service providers globally—all while having Stripe handle payments compliance.

The partnership agreement will see Splitit’s solution integrated with Stripe Connect to streamline merchant onboarding and enhance the merchant experience, enabling Splitit to scale significantly faster globally.

The Stripe Connect integration will be rolled out under a phased approach, starting in Q2 FY20, initially in Splitit’s key markets of the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. Mastercard and Splitit will also jointly develop instalment and related products. Mastercard’s Payment Gateway Services (MPGS) and Application Programming Interface (API) technology will enable a systemic, scalable way to offer Splitit’s instalment solution. The partnership will also explore accelerated collaborations with Mastercard’s suite of instalment solution providers.

The partnership will plan to launch pilots across three markets with plans to roll out globally.

Splitit today announced it is partnering with Visa to help accelerate the distribution of instalment payments for merchants. Visa and Splitit will also explore further opportunities relating to new product development.

Splitit will leverage the Visa Developer Platform to participate in ongoing innovation of the instalment payments landscape globally. Splitit will also integrate with Visa Installment Solutions, a new capability that helps participating issuers and merchants give Visa cardholders more control on how a purchase is paid. Splitit will offer Visa Installment Solutions to its merchant network.
