Once he compared oil to the housing industry I stopped taking the article seriously, guess he was out of ideas for illustrating supply vs demand vs price.
We will go to something after oil, the big question is whether we'll be fast enough to shift to it as oil production plateaus and then drops while demand is rising. It's all about volume, we are using a lot of oil every single day and most of the easy oil is gone.
