An editor at large should not feed mainstream readers with delusional wishful thinking. The guy who wrote that should get a kick in the arse.
It is meant to give people a warm cosy "she'll be right" feeling and that talk of oil depletion is not worth a mention. Just everybody continue doing the same old, same old and things will work out.
If someone does not physically kick his arse then by the last 48 hours his beloved market will.
Let him find a better priced alternative to conventional oil for less than US$200 per barrel.
The only feature to be wary of with POO is anticipated price lurching, but on an upward path. There will be no great sudden peak followed by collapse unless we all collapse with it.
Depletion was never a factor in the tech crash or housing boom unless you include the resource of fool's money and maybe that editor was one of those fools.
