i agree with your comment smartinvestor

it always annoys me when people provide a headline to their posts that makes the heart leap - whether positive or negative - only to have the body of the post reveal that this is just an ill-informed prediction of a future state.

someone did it the other day on the mqg thread with a post speculating that macquarie may be going to freeze redemptions on the CMT.

as for the prediction - we just don't know where discussions with the banks stand. all the "noise" this afternoon about whether the rba 75pt reduction will make a difference is almost certainly irrelevant.

all that i know is that AFG remains alive until it is declared to be dead. This has not happened yet.
