Something similar with twitter 'followers' or facebook 'likers', and youtube 'commenters'. Usually auto-generated platitudes which rarely have any connection with the specific material that they follow, like or comment. If I had enough spare time I could work my way through the API** for those platforms and generate waves of fake enthusiasm myself.

But alas, I have a life, so I couldn't be arsed.

** Application Program Interface. or, how to access these platforms via a program, as opposed to real-time human interaction.
