I don't know about that one -
it's the restaurant and cafe business that has trained us in asking questions - not the other way around.
try getting a sandwich these days - just a simple salad sandwich -
usually such a request results in a barrage of questions from the server -
onion. cheese, butter, salt, pepper, beetroot ------------- on and on
years back - you just asked for a salad sandwich
now, when the customers are making the demands - many of them can't cut the mustard.
Chefs and restaurants should remember one thing -------------------- who is paying?
In service - it's that simple.
