I have alerts on my charting package ........ I have never used them, and in fact am not exactly sure what sort of signal I would get.......
because I do a lot of trawling of stocks I see some stocks that I would really like to get in to but their price or direction of movement does not suit...... I think to myself that I should keep an eye on that one, but forget about it, only to find a couple of months later the stock is moving exactly in the direction that I thought it should be heading or that its price is now at a level that I am prepared to accept, but now I may have left it a bit too late..
all very well to say put on a watchlist, but in my case there are so many of them
for instance a change in trend could be monitored with say a crossing of a moving average of 20,
or a change in volume or price for one day or over a couple of days that is very much more than the average
just wondering if any have a system like this going ?????
