I have a considerable holding of AKE built up since 2013 and the parcels I trade represent quite a small proportion of the total. I use the very simple FIFO method for cgt calcs and there are always enough shares that I have held for 12+ months.
I have holdings in both my personal name and in my smsf. As my smsf is in pension mode my comments now apply to my personal holdings. When I was working I used to trade within the smsf rather than my personal holding to access the lower smsf cg rate.
