Hawkish talk from Powell to calm spending (therefore less pressure on inflation) before the holiday season. Gut (not actual data) tells me, inflation signals will continue to ease. The Fed will not go hard on interest rate rises by raising no more than 0.5%, RBA will ease sooner (key reason being the makeup of fixed mortgages being smaller and for shorter terms than US's 90% more than 15 years).
Our SP is likely to get hit harder for a while with all of the current negative market sentiment and then we'll see recovery later in Q1, if my guess on interest rate easing transpires. Wish I had held off on buying in the $14 range...timing, it's such a hard thing to get right
