Just to put things in perspective:
Whabouchi stage one was modelled to produce 215,000 tonnes a year of concentrate so Livent's 50% share of Whabouchi will be 108,000 tonnes a year.
Meanwhile Allkem owns 100% of James Bay and its stage one production is to be 321,000 tonnes of concentrate a year.
The projected concentrate production in Quebec for Newco from 100% of James Bay and 50% of Wabouchi is comprised of 75% from Allkem and 25% from Livent.
Even if Livent were to buy Investment Quebec out of Whabouchi the contributions going into a Becancour hydroxide plant would still be 60% Allkem 40% livent ... which co-incidentally is what the share split in the proposed merger should be.
