Okay, I found supporting evidence of what I said. It does appears AKE are selling spot at higher prices, then what the Chinese data tells us. It appears, that if you want the volume, you need to pay the appropriate price.
Gary, we need to remember that the volume going through spot is terribly low. The majority of batteries are built in China, CATL and BYD have enormous market share. Those playing in the Chinese ecosystem need to play ball in order to ensure they can continue doing business. External suppliers don't need to play the same game. It is evident that over the last 6months AKE has not been playing the game. Not selling into manipulation, selling when a fairer price is given.
As long as we sell at around $30k+ I am happy. I would expect the peaks and troughs to be around 30-50, watching the market evolve. As long as we get within that range we are set.
