Off topic here but during the time of Trump 45 I wondered about the US Marines, a service that values honour above all else and whether they would go with Milley and the wishy washy Generals against the President or take their duty to protect the President as his Praetorian Guard and defend the WH against the incoming Blackhawks seriously. This isn't hypothetical, at one time it looked as if this was happening.

Today nearly 50% of (D)s want Trump assassinated and about 40% feel the same about Musk. Luigi Mangione is their hero and has raised over a qtr mill for his defence fund. The Marines may yet be asked to nail their colours to the mast.
