All we can say with any certainty WRT climate change is that: a) Average global surface temperature will rise as the earth-atmosphere system's capacity to re-emit the heat it receives is reduced; b) we will get less of the weather we expect & more variability in weather patterns; c) most local climatic conditions will change in some way and to some degree.

Whether it is drier, wetter, warmer or cooler on a local level and to what extent depends on so many variables (e.g. if/when ocean currents change and how). It's pretty complicated with a lot of potential feedbacks, many of which we can't predict.

That being said, the trend in the Hillston area according to the chart Inchiquin presented indicates increasing and more variable annual rainfall. Whether this is problematic for almond growing is a more nuanced question because we would also need to know at what point in the growing cycle the rainfall occurred.
