You wrote "over the past month the Australian dollar has fallen by 3% against the US dollar". That is not correct. The fall has only happened over the last 2 weeks. For most of March and April, the exchange rate ranged between 75-77c, and it still hasn't fallen back to the February levels. This all adds further pressure to the depressed almond price.
Even though management haven't yet provided an ASX market update, I still think they are delaying the announcement of bad news. This week's almond market update contained plenty of positive statements but nothing that was supported by hard evidence.
