Bottle Shops are part of Australian culture and therefore deemed essential, plus the stockpiling would be horrendous.
They work pretty much like Supermarkets with many attached to them.
If closed, black markets will be created and crime would increase due to those with addictions.
It's also a huge industry - many vintages may suffer.
